Terms of service

West Deco NV's terms of service.

 

01. Transportation and administration costs

>€200 = free delivery
<€200 = €25 transport cost own driver
<€200 = €12 courier service DPD (+ €10 extra handling cost if order <€50)
>€500 = delivery on site/end customer possible for €75

 

For an order where the total net purchase value exceeds 200 euros excl. VAT, the goods will be delivered to the address in Belgium by West Deco NV's own transport, a courier service or carrier without charging extra costs. For deliveries abroad, the transport cost will be determined in function of the size and value of the order.

 

If the order has a total net purchase value of less than 200€ excl. VAT, a transport cost of 25€ excl. VAT will be charged if the goods are delivered by West Deco's own transport. If the goods can be sent by a courier service within Belgium, a shipping cost of 12 euro excluding VAT will be charged. For orders with a value <€50 sent by courier service, an additional administrative handling cost of €10 will be charged on top of the postage. The maximum dimensions to send the goods by courier service are 170cm x 25cm x 25cm

 

02. Modalities of placing orders 

Due to practical reasons, we cannot hold up orders if the postage is not reached. Orders are delivered according to the order and delivery time indicated below. When orders are transmitted separately; they are grouped for delivery on the fixed delivery day and considered as a single order.

 

If different delivery terms are desired, this must be explicitly stated when placing the order. Without mentioning this, we reserve the right to deliver according to the standard order and delivery terms and -if applicable- the corresponding transport and/or administration costs.

 

03. Modalities delivery terms

For each product category, we apply the following order terms prior to the fixed delivery day per region:

  • Accessories ( loose parts or full packs ) : 2 working days
  • Rails per pack/full length : 2 working days
  • Rails on cut : 3 working days
  • Completely assembled rails excl. curves : 3 working days
  • Completely assembled pull up systems & cord operated systems : 3 working days
  • Rails with bends : 1 to 2 weeks
  • Completely assembled electrical systems : 1 to 2 weeks
  • Customization ( PTO = production to order ) : 3 to 4 weeks


The delivery dates given in offers, agreements or other communications are always indicative and not binding, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

 

The company strives to meet the indicated delivery dates, but is not liable for delays resulting from unforeseen circumstances.

 

04. Surcharges on quotations and orders

There is a 25% surcharge on the selling price of items not ordered per package. For cuts, there is a 25% surcharge. However, this may be waived for a larger number of cuts depending on the size of the project. West Deco is free to determine which surcharge will then be applied based on the calculation of the (cutting) loss. If the latter is the case, this will always be indicated per prior quotation.

 

05. Wrong orders

If the customer has placed an incorrect order and his/her goods have not yet left the warehouse, the provisions according to the' General Terms and Conditions - Art. 9 shall apply.

 

If the customer has placed a wrong order and his/her goods have already been delivered, the following applies regarding the return of the goods: If the customer so wishes, the wrongly ordered goods can be credited according to the conditions stated under the heading 'Credit notes' below. Any additional costs, mentioned under the heading 'Additional costs for return transport and collection' and 'additional costs for adjustments' for the repair and/or subsequent delivery can be charged to the customer by West Deco.

 

06. Return/exchange request procedure

If the customer wishes to notify West Deco NV of a return or exchange, this must be done via the e-mail address service@westdeco.be. In the subject line one should mention the order number, packing slip number or invoice number so that we can trace your order and history. If this information is available, we will try to process your message within 2 working days.

 

07. Credit notes

At all times, the conditions regarding returns according to our “general conditions -Art. 7: Complaints - Liability - Returns” apply in the first instance. These must always be made known within 8 days. However, West Deco is free to deviate from these on its own initiative in favor of the customer, with a specific regulation as described below:

 

  • Customization in general is not credited and thus not taken back.

  • Goods must have been returned in good condition and packaging.
    The measure for this is the determination if the goods can be resold or not. Goods that cannot be resold thus cannot be credited.

  • Goods that have been delivered more than 1 year ago can never be credited. Except according to our “general conditions- Art. 6”.

  • A delivery made less than 1 month ago:
    A credit note will be issued for 80% of the original purchase value of the goods.

  • A delivery made between 1 and 6 months ago:
    A credit note will be issued for 70% of the original purchase value of the goods.

  • A delivery made between 6 and 12 months ago:
    A credit note will be issued for 50% of the original purchase value of the goods.

 

The total maximum amount that can be deducted from the sales value of the specific goods is capped at 200€ excluding VAT.

 

08. Additional costs transport return payment

For its own transport, West Deco NV works with regions that are delivered on a certain day of the week. On the shipping note, the customer can see on which day he/she will most likely receive his/her goods. West Deco NV is always free to deviate from the standard delivery day. With regard to deliveries, reference is made to the 'general conditions - Art. 5'.

 

When the customer has placed a wrong order and there is an agreement with West Deco for a return/collection the following applies :

 

  • If the return and/or delivery is combined with an order, it will be done free of charge. In this case, there will be no specific detour.
  • If the return and/or delivery is desired without combining it with a new order, the cost of collection/delivery is €30 excluding VAT. Since the own transport of West Deco NV is bound to a fixed day per region, the pickup/delivery will most likely be scheduled on the fixed delivery day.

 

West Deco NV reserves the right to schedule the collection on another day in consultation with the customer if this fits better in the planning. However, the collection/delivery charge of €30 excluding VAT remains unchanged.

 

09. Additional costs adjustments

If the customer has passed on an order incorrectly and West Deco is in a position, subject to a manual adjustment in our workshop, to correct the order to what the customer wishes, the following applies:

 

  • For the cost of collection, please refer to the above-mentioned section ‘additional costs for return transport’.
  • For the adjustment, a minimum of 1 working hour will be charged at the usual hourly rate
  • If the adjustment(s) take more than 1 working hour, an additional quarter-hour will be charged at according to the usual hourly rate.

 

10. Delivery to a specific address

If the customer desires delivery to a location other than the address known in our customer sheet ( often billing address, unless originally given otherwise ) the following applies:

  1. Order confirmation value < 500€ excluding VAT:
    • On-site delivery is not possible

  2. Order confirmation value ≥ 500€ excluding VAT
    • On-site delivery is possible for the additional charge of €75 excluding VAT
